What Does A Residential Wireman Do?

A Residential Wireman performs many of the same tasks as an inside wireman, except in residential, rather than commercial or industrial, environments. This includes installing electrical systems, alarm systems, or control panels, as well as inspecting, maintaining, and repairing existing electrical systems, and much more within a residential environment.

Our Residential Electrician Program

Our electrical program is designed to equip apprentices with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills needed to install, operate, maintain, and repair electrical systems. 

 Journeyworker Status

Training covers residential wiring, and apprentices receive instruction in electrical theory, wiring methods, safety protocols, Energy Star-rated household appliances, residential LED lighting, residential electrical panel & circuit breakers upgrades.


Residential smart thermostats installations, electrical wiring for HVAC heat pumps, job estimation, electrical testing and inspection, and compliance with industry codes and standards.

Inside Wiremen

Inside Wiremen- install the power, lighting, controls and other electrical equipment in commercial and industrial buildings.  (Most Command) 

VDV Installer Technicians

VDV Installer Technicians- install circuits and equipment for telephones, computer networks, video distribution systems, security and access control systems and other low voltage systems.

Residential Wiremen

Residential Wiremen- specialize in installing all of the electrical systems in single-family and multi-family houses or dwellings.
